About

Committed to beauty, art and creativity, nurturing the planet, reducing waste, giving back.

Where We Began

The Creative Arts & Makers Foundation, Inc. was created from a simple but powerful belief: creativity has the power to transform lives, strengthen communities, and change the way we see the world around us.

Our founder grew up in a family deeply influenced by the resourcefulness of a generation that understood the value of making things last. Nothing was wasted if it could be repaired, repurposed, reimagined, or made beautiful again. Everyday objects held potential. Materials others overlooked became opportunities for creativity, usefulness, and expression.

That early foundation became a lifelong passion for art, making, innovation, and environmental responsibility.

Over time, it became impossible to ignore two growing realities: communities often lack accessible creative spaces, and our world continues to discard enormous amounts of usable materials. At the intersection of those challenges, a vision was born—a place where creativity, education, sustainability, and human connection could come together.

That vision became The Creative Arts & Makers Foundation.

Our mission is to create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to explore creativity through hands-on learning, artistic expression, maker education, upcycling, innovation, and community collaboration. Through workshops, youth programs, mentorship, immersive experiences, public art, skill-building classes, and creative entrepreneurship initiatives, we empower individuals to discover what they are capable of creating—and who they can become in the process

We believe creativity is not a luxury. It is essential.

It builds confidence.
It develops problem-solvers.
It strengthens communities.
It creates pathways to opportunity.
And it reminds us that both materials—and people—often have far more potential than the world first sees.

At The Creative Arts & Makers Foundation, we are building more than programs.

We are building a movement of makers, artists, innovators, and changemakers who believe in second chances, sustainable futures, and the power of creating something extraordinary from what others leave behind.

Because we only have one beautiful planet—and every act of creativity has the power to shape its future.

The Need

Too many creative materials end up discarded while artists, educators, makers, and community programs often struggle to access affordable resources, learning opportunities, and support. At the same time, communities are searching for meaningful ways to connect, create, and reduce waste.
